Stray

Silently left the stray,
On the way,
To seek some peaceful place,
Starting to pace,
Rushing forth and not back,

Hearing the pack,

Run, run, just run,
Into the sun,
Away from the den,
They don't know when,
And why-

A cry
Led the pack to him,
His voice was grim,
The hunter shot the stray,
World seems dull and grey,
Too late, just too late,
Blame fate, blame fate,
Why did he leave his place?
World is without grace.
